Brief Case Study for Certain PV Power Projects

 

Project 1: 4.8 KW photovoltaic power project in Shihudang Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai.

 

Project Description:  

   -20pcs 240wp-polysilicon-panels were installed, which have a 20-degree-angle for the aluminum alloy mounting.

   -The total power for the system was 4.8KWp.

   -The whole system was started on December 15th, 2013.

Generation Data:

As of 31, July.2015, the whole system have worked for 574 days, totally generated 8,700KWH and daily generation is 15.16 KWH, higher than expected.

As of 31, July.2015, monthly generation data show as below:

Bar chart above shows monthly generation data from January to July. Generation efficiency 3.16KWH/KW/day means: each KWp had a daily 3.16KWH generation, 4.8KWp supposed to generate 15.168 KWH each day.

In the light of the simulation of PVsyst 6.06, the expected annual energy for 4.8KW PV project in Shanghai is as below:

By contrast, we conclude that: the actual generation of June and July is lower than the expected apparently. The slump in the two month was due to the unusually frequent rainy day compared with the past year.

 

 

 

Project2:4.32KW photovoltaic power project in Nanxiang, Jiading District, Shanghai.

 

Project Description:

   -Total 18pcs 240wp-polysilicon-components was installed, which was composed by two 20-degree-angle aluminium alloy mounting.

   -The system have a 4.32 KWp power.

   -The whole system was started on Mid-Sep, 2014.

Generation Data:

Until 31 July, 2015, the system has worked 326 days, total energy was 4170 KWH, and the average daily generation was 12.79KWH. The actual energy is flat with the expected due to the shadow-shade in later day.

According to the simulation of PVsyst 6.06, the expected annual energy for 4.32KW PV project in Shanghai is as below:

To concluded, from January to July, it is supposed to generate 2795 KWH but actually only got 2680KWH. The actual generation is flat with the expected, which due to the shadow of the nearby high-rise in the late 3PM. Meanwhile the frequent rainy days in June and July is more than those in the past years.

 

 

 

Project 3: 3.75KW photovoltaic power project in Jinqiu Garden, Baoshan District, Shanghai.

 

Project Description:

   -15pcs 250wp poly module was installed at the angle of 15 degrees.

   -Total power was 3.75KWp.

   -The system started on Sep, 12th, 2014.

Generation Data:

Until June 23rd, 2015, the system has worked 284 days, total energy was 3230 KWH, and the average daily generation was 11.29 KWH. In theory, the first five-month supposed to generate 1610KWH, but actually had a generation of 1757KWH, higher than the expected.

In the light of the simulation of PVsyst, the expected annual energy for 3.75KW PV project in Shanghai is as below:

Here comes to the conclusion that: the actual energy for five months was 1757 KWH, which was higher than the simulated 1610 KWH. The reason is that the project was properly located, which providing the perfect ventilation and plentiful sunshine-covering for the whole structure. But the generation amount in June and July is lower than expected, because the raining days in Shanghai are much more than past years.
